Some of you have asked if another Deputy Ricos book is in the works, and the answer to that question is always “yes!” I’m working on Tale 8 in the series, but I’ve been working on some other things as well, and one of them is taking off!
Last year, my friend and fellow writer, Manning Wolfe, asked if I’d be interested in writing a book with her. I couldn’t imagine anything more frustrating than 2 writers trying to tell the same story! After I gave her a chance to explain, I was intrigued by her idea to co-author short mysteries, 3-4 hour “vacation” reads, with a few writers she enjoys. Because I was working on other things at the time and got off to a slow start, our book, “The Neon Palm,” will be the last of the first 12 books to be released. We’re planning to have it at ArtWalk this year, where we’ll have a table at Front Street Books in Alpine. After that, we’ll get it into other Big Bend area stores ASAP. |
