One Bloody Shirt at a Time the first Deputy Ricos tale was published in June of 2012. It won the Texas Association of Authors first place for Crime/Police fiction of 2013. It also won the hearts of fans. A sinister presence approaches Margarita in her home in the dark. Is it a murder suspect, or the unknown rapist, or a different kind of threat altogether? So began the Deputy Ricos tales series.

The Beautiful Bones the second Deputy Ricos tale was published in 2013. In it, Deputy Ricos is assigned a cold case older than she is. Her inquiries take her to an abandoned property on the Terlingua Ranch Resort, and even as far away as Wyoming.

Darker Than Black is the third tale in the Deputy Ricos series. It was published in the Spring of 2014. Drugs, drug dealers, and a series of crimes become the focus of the deputies. Are the crimes related? Unrelated? To complicate matters, a handsome special agent from the D.E.A. comes to town.

Border Ghosts, the fourth Deputy Ricos tale, was published in November of 2014. A murder investigation and her Texas Ranger dad take Margarita to Dallas, but her mind and heart are never far from the Big Bend. You may now buy it from Amazon by clicking here.

Hard Falls The trouble begins with a Photoshopped picture of Deputy Ricos and Sheriff Ben that makes an innocent encounter look like something it's not. Someone is making a problem where none exists.

The Reluctant Cowboy introduces fans to Jed Petersen, a young up-and-coming bull rider from Fort Stockton, Texas. Fans are demanding more tales about Jed and are hoping Ms. Garcia will start a second series of tales based on him.

In the meantime, Elizabeth is working on another Deputy Ricos tale and several other novels.
